Dr. Tichenor specizlizes in treatment of patients with chronic sinusitis who are resistant to treatment. Most of his patients have previously had surgery and are still not better. He does a thorough evaluation of patients and will often discover problems which other doctors have not.

Dr. Tichenor also treats other allergy and immunological problems. As a result of his evaluation, he will often find patients who have primary immune deficiencies, allergies, inflammatory disorders and fungal, bacterial or more unusual infections.

Dr. Tichenor is Board Certified in internal medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He also teaches courses at the annual meeting of the Academy on endoscopic evaluation of sinusitis. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College. He has published articles on sinusitis including a Task Force Report on endoscopic evaluation of sinusitis.
